Shooting onself in the foot

I found that mobile repair shop in my Parisian neighbourhood and immediately froze with one question in mind: "How could an entrepreneur name his company Pixou?". For non French speaking this wouldn't mean anything but ... Pixou sounds like Picsou who in France how we call Uncle Scrooge, the Disney character ! Who on earth would name a company "Scrooge"? And this is not just a single retail store, it's a franchise who wish to expand.

Again, how much communication effort and there how much budget would it require to get rid of the bad taste in the mouth felt when looking up at the brand sign. It would have been so much easier to simply call it the "Phone Clinic' for example.
